Tara Mar

Tara Mar began her martial arts training in 2016 here at our kwoon. She achieved her Black Sash and Assistant Instructor Rank in Lai Tung Pai Tai Chi in 2022. Tara also holds a Yellow Sash in Lai Tung Pai Kung Fu. Tara has been a medal winner in Tai Chi at various regional, national and international tournaments held here in the USA. Her unique approach to teaching our art stems from her worldly travels as an anthropologist. She is also an accomplished cellist and a resident instructor of the cello here in Miami County.

Living in Asia and being exposed to many Asian cultural ways, she has developed a clear understanding of what it means to train in the Chinese martial arts. We are grateful to have her expertise and talent here at our kwoon.
